Analogie (Analogy)

Analog means „corresponding”, „similar”, in digital data processing it is used for „continuous”, „stepless” – in contrast to the quantized, stepped representations in the digital world.

In this movement, „Analogy” stands for the re−translation of digital codes (binary numbers) into musical structures such as rhythms:

     01011110 becomes:  


The generation of chords or melodic motifs is similar, but not so easily depictable here.

While working in the background, this method yields interestingly expressive music with a distinct tonal color.
