Himbeeren
|
Himbeerstrauch am Wegesrand –
wer bliebe da nicht stehn?
Lippensüße wilde Frucht
will mir im Mund zergehn.
|
Kenn dich schon aus Kinderzeit,
dein unscheinbares Blüh'n,
kaum versteckt die rote Pracht
im zarten Dornengrün.
|
Aber gut verborgen sind
zwei Trauben kostbar schön:
zungenspitzenreif und prall,
so lieblich anzusehn!
Raspberries
|
Raspberries grow by the way –
who wouldn't make a stop?
Oh, your sweet, wild, juicy fruit
wants to melt between my lips.
|
I know you from childhood days,
your inconspicuous bloom,
barely hidden glory red
in tender thorny green.
|
But two berries well concealed,
a pleasant precious treat:
tonguetip mellow, ripe and full,
so lovely to behold!
