Christmas shines a bright light in the middle of the darkest time of the year.

This idea of a strong contrast led me to anticipate the song brought to us from the sunny south (set in the „golden” key of E^b−major) with a prelude in E^b−minor (according to the symbolics of keys a „timid” key) using a kind of „searching” harmonic progression.
