Mathias Wittekopf –
I was born in 1953 in Leipzig, studied Composition and Electronic Composition with
  Wolfgang Hufschmidt
  and Dirk Reith at the
  Folkwang Hochschule in Essen.

My work as a composer comprises solo pieces, chamber music and orchestral music, audio drama works, electronic music
and also sound sculptures and sounding mobilés.
I like to explore the interactions between music and other forms of art such as poetry, fine arts and film.

In the past I worked as a manager of music- and theater-events, taught sound engineering and sound design and took
part in the development of a music-composition software.

As a music teacher I worked for school projects organized by the
  GNMR, namely response, meet the
composer, as well as own projects. Since 2004 I offer music- and audio drama workshops for handicapped people,
until 2019 also as part of the department Bochumer Modell at the
  Bochum Music School.
